The Inn at ParkSpring Portland Maine
Nancy and John Gonsalves welcome you to the comfortable, casual atmosphere at the Inn at Park Spring. This small, charming Bed & Breakfast in a historic brick town home dating to 1835 boasts an ideal location in downtown Portland. It is around the corner from The Art Museum & the Longfellow Monument and a short walk to Portland’s famous Old Port. The Inn is the perfect home base for exploring Portland’s renowned shops, restaurants and waterfront. Guests can lounge and enjoy music or television in the front parlor or the fresh air in the courtyard. Our gourmet breakfast is served daily in the elegant dining room.Built in 1835, The Inn at ParkSpring reflects the 19th century architecture for which Portland is noted. True to this style, our first floor living and dining rooms, with their floor to ceiling windows, marble fireplaces, hardwood floors and crystal chandeliers, offer traditional period decor.
Each of the six guest rooms has a private bath. Two are located at the back of the house, one reflecting a cottage flavor and the other a European ambience. The two, second floor bedrooms fall into the 1880’s period with wide plank floors. The third floor rooms are of a more contemporary decor with wall-to-wall carpeting.
All rooms have at least a queen-sized bed, dresser and two comfortable reading chairs. We provide Caswell-Massey soaps and toiletries, crisp linens and fluffy towels.
We serve a complete gourmet breakfast. In addition to the main entree, enjoy freshly brewed coffee and teas, fresh fruit, juice, granola, yogurt, homemade coffee cakes and muffins.
Reservations are a must.
Please call between 8 AM and 10 PM.
A credit card will hold a reservation; we require a 14 day cancellation notice.

“This small, tasteful B&B is located on a busy downtown street in a historic brick home that dates back to 1835. It’s well located for exploring the city on foot.”
“Especially nice is the Spring room, with its great morning light and views of the historic row houses on Park Street, and the Gables room, on the third floor, which gets abundant afternoon sun and has a very nice bathroom.
Friendly new ownership has vowed to gradually upgrade the rooms further….”
