The Victorian Building was built in 1897-1899 as a private residence. Over the past hundred years, additions have been made to accommodate more guests (27 rooms), but the original beauty and look of the building has been preserved. Most of the rooms in the Victorian sleep two people, although some sleep three or four. Enjoy the ocean views from your deck, balcony or terrace.
In the spring of 2007 we enhanced access to the Victorian with an limited use elevator for accessibility to the 3rd floor. A new grand entrance will welcome you with light and decore as you enter the building.
All of our units are equipped with a kitchenette, TV, A/C, telephone and private bath with shower and/or tub. Wireless Internet access is also available in this building. There are four rooms in the Inn that have wood burning fireplaces, four that use duraflame logs (terrace level) and a gas fireplace in room 35. Shaker style furnishings and monet style decor enhance the Victorian seaside inn experience. Rooms in Victorian vary in size, decor & view. The building is fully sprinklered.
Beachmere South sits across the lawn from the Victorian at an angle to the ocean. All of these spacious rooms have beautiful ocean views. The rooms on the bottom floor of the South have private terraces, while the rooms on the second floor enjoy private balconies.
In 2007, 6 new luxury suites were added onto the ocean end of Beachmere South. These rooms (106-108 & 206-208) are two room suites will many modern amenities. The original building offered 8 suites (109-112 & 209-212) with queen bedrooms and larger living rooms with twin beds that have proven to be popular family rooms. Room 213 on the second floor offers an open concept with a king with 2 twins beds. The remaining seven rooms (113-116 & 214-216) are single-room units with a queen and one twin bed. All units are equipped with a kitchenette, TV, A/C, telephone and private bath with shower and tub. All rooms from Beachmere South offer fantastic ocean views!
Beachmere West is the newest addition to the Beachmere Property. Opened in 2008, this section offers 16 new luxury suites all with ocean views. Also located in Beachmere West is the breakfast room, Bawdy’s Sallys Pub, our offices and conference space. On the spa level you will find the exercise room, kids play area, hot tub, sauna and massage rooms.
Many of the 16 suites offer a king bedroom with its own flat screen TV and four post bed. In the living room you will find a seating area, flat screen TV, kitchenette, dining table and patio doors leading to your private balcony. All of these new units have oversized bathrooms, most with double sinks, and spa shower heads. The kitchenettes in each suite contain a microwave, under counter refrigerator, an induction cook top and all dishware you would need including coffee maker, filters and a toaster.
Suites 117 & 217 also have a gas fireplace in the living room. Suites 124 & 224 are open concept rooms with a gas fireplace that can be viewed from the king bed or from the living room area. Both of these rooms have handicapped accessible bathrooms with a tub.
Suite 120 is a fully accessible suite with king bed (height adjustable), roll in shower and accessible porch.
Mayfair is located on Israel Head Road, a short walk from our main property. Its grounds contain a beautiful, lush garden and a unique tea-house for the enjoyment of our guests. Flowers bloom in all seasons, making this a bright and cheery atmosphere. Mayfair itself is a pleasant building which is situated close to a trolley stop and within easy walking distance to the center of town and Perkins Cove. Its location offers a quiet get away while still within easy access to all that Ogunquit has to offer.
The units at Mayfair are equipped with a kitchenette, TV, A/C, telephone and private bath with shower and tub. Guests are welcome to use the main oceanfront property with its large front lawn and access to the Marginal Way whenever they wish. Parking is available for each unit at Mayfair.
Unit 450 is our Hearthstone Cottage. It is a historical house with three bedrooms and two and a half baths offering you an intimate and stylish accommodation. Its king, queen, and twin beds sleep five guests. The master bedroom has a balcony, from which there is a limited view of the ocean. It is a short five minute walk away from our main property, marginal way & little beaches.
Guests of Hearthstone can enjoy the use of the barbecue house adjoined to the large private lawn in the back. In 2008 the kitchen was renovated to include stainless steel appliances, refinished hardwood floors, cabinets and solid surface countertops. It comes fully applianced. The living room offers a variety of seating to enjoy the fireplace and TV from, or dine in the formal dining room adorned with antiques. Daily Housekeeping is provided. Washer & dryer is included and parking is available on site for up to 3 cars. Hearthstone is perfect for extended stays. We love children but his home may not be suitable for the very young due to the antiques in this home.
The Bullfrog is located at the top of the hill on Israel Head Road, which is parallel to our main seaside property. Bullfrog is approximately a five-minute walk away from the main property, beach and Marginal Way. All units have two rooms. All are equipped with a kitchenette, TV, A/C, telephone and private bath with shower and/or tub. Daily housekeeping is provided.
Israel Head Road is a quiet residential street, and guests of Bullfrog can enjoy a private fenced in back yard with lawn furniture, a swing set and a barbeque grill for outside cooking. Parking is available at The Bullfrog for each unit. This building does not have an ocean view, however, guests of Bullfrog are invited to come down and use the main property whenever they wish.
