The Highland Lake Resort, a Bridgton ME Vacation Resort, is the perfect place for a New England vacation, Bridgton Maine Vacation Getaway, from its beautiful beach and grounds to its many activities and lodging amenities, antique-shopping spree, or business trip. Located right on Route 302, just 35 miles from Portland, Maine, and 23 miles from North Conway, NH, this Bridgton Maine Resort is centrally located between the White Mountains and the coast. Although we don’t have a dining room on site, you’re never more than 5 minutes from gourmet restaurants, casual dining, fresh seafood, or sandwich shops.

Lakeside Enjoyment
Highland Lake is a beautiful crystal-clear lake, perfect for swimming and boating. It’s quiet and peaceful, and temperatures range from the mid to upper 70’s during the summer months. Since there are no marinas on the lake, powerboats are limited, making the lake perfect for canoeing and kayaking!

What we are… and are not!
We are a modest, family-run, lakeside resort. By “resort”, we mean that we feature many activities right here that can help you have that perfect “small-town Maine” experience. We DON’T mean that we are a pretentious, high-style, fancy inn with room-service and employees in fancy get-ups. While the resort itself has been around for over 50 years, we’re constantly updating all rooms for your comfort. We don’t offer on-site meals, since we have many great restaurants in Bridgton. We don’t have a 24-hour lobby, but we do have people living on-site in case of emergencies. If you need us during the day, you might have to find us sweeping the tennis court or helping a guest launch a canoe (we’ll leave a note on the office door telling you where we are). We’ll leave you alone if you want, or we’ll be glad to spend time with you talking about the area… or about any other topic which you might care to discuss.

If you want a “Marriott” or “Hilton”, you’ll need to stay in Portland. If you want a clean, comfortable place to stay, with real folks who are glad to have you visit, and in a setting which God has blessed with great beauty and tranquility, then stay with us.
