White Water Rafting

Discover “The Thrill of a Lifetime” White Water Rafting in Maine with North Country Rivers. Trips run daily (April-October) on the Kennebec, Penobscot and Dead Rivers. Dam controlled releases guarantee Fun white water rafting every day throughout our season. Trips are designed for all levels - from family trips to the Ultimate White Water Challenge.

No experience is necessary and North Country Rivers supplies everything - state of the art river equipment, Registered Maine Whitewater guides in every raft, riverside lunch, all riverside transportation, slide and video show of your trip, 28 years experience and “The Thrill of a Lifetime”.

Riverside Deluxe Cabins

All of the cabins are fully furnished, all linens, blankets and towels are provided.  There are individual bedrooms, bathrooms, full kitchen (stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, cooking and eating utensils), living and dining area, heat/AC, cable TV, DVD and Wi-Fi in your cabin.  Outside, there is a covered porch, picnic table and fireplace.  The cabins provide convenient access to our four-season resort facility in Bingham, Maine and locally - renowned Patrick’s Restaurant. ATM and Wi-Fi available in the base lodge. Pets are welcome with advance reservation.

ATV

Known for having the best ATV trails system in the East, Kennebec Valley Region of Maine also contains some of the most beautiful and pristine wilderness in the US.  Maine’s ATV Trail system is made up of hundreds of miles of designated trails - stretching to Canada.  North Country Rivers base complex is on the Maine ATV trail system.  This portion extends north to the Forks and Jackman (and on to Canada), west to Rangeley Lakes, and northeast to Moosehead Lake (and Katahdin).  This trail, and many feeder trails, provide hundreds of miles of open terrain, incredible scenery and awesome riding for all skill levels.  Many options are offered by North Country Rivers – Two hour Express Trips, Half-Day trips and Full-Day guide tours. In addition to single day trips, you can experience multi-day trips that begin and end at our base complex.  When you rent one of our cozy log cabins on the Kennebec River, you will be able to return from any trip, and park your ATV right at your door!

Moose Safari

Experience a Moose Safari with North Country Rivers! Let our Registered Maine Guides take you on a memorable wildlife tour. See Moose, Deer, Bear, Eagles, and Osprey in their natural habitat. Be sure to bring your camera and video camera!

We offer guided Moose Safari trips from our Bingham base all summer long.  Moose Safaris meet in the early evening when wildlife is most active - so our professional guides can take you on an adventure you will remember for a lifetime.

Kayaking

North Country Rivers has teamed up with Maine Kayak to bring you The Way Paddling Should Be! Maine Kayak offers half-day, full-day, multi-day island camping overnight, inn-to-inn, and naturalist sea kayaking trips in Mid-Coast Maine. Explore the picturesque shoreline, un-inhabited islands of the Maine Island Trail, resplendent wildlife, and sheltered coves of Johns Bay or Muscongus Bay. Snowmobiling
