The new Twin Pines cabins offer amazing views of Mount Katahdin and great resort amenities. Canoe on Millinocket Lake, unwind in the jacuzzi, play a game of ping pong, horseshoes, basketball or shop in our retail shop. The Penobscot-based cabins combine the rustic appeal of a classic Maine camp with all the comforts of home. There are 16 cabins to choose from (small, medium, large or premium) all on the shores of Millinocket Lake. All cabin rentals come with housekeeping services, full kitchens, bathrooms, picnic areas, shared outdoor grills and fire rings with spectacular views of Katahdin.  Don’t worry about bedding, towels, dishes, utensils and cookware - the cabins have everything you need for your stay.

Large Cabins/Premier Cabins

For larger groups, Twin Pines has several lovely cabins to choose from. We have 2 large cabins (sleep 10 to 12) and 3 Premium Cabins (sleep 12 to 14). Some cabins are located directly on the point overlooking Mt. Katahdin. The Premier cabins are well furnished with leather furniture, Queen size beds, private bedrooms, bathrooms and large dining areas.

Small & Medium Sized Cabins

Sleep 6 to 8 people, our small and medium sized cabins are perfect for small sized groups or families looking for an authentic Maine vacation experience. These cozy cabins have character and come with a spectacular view of Millinocket Lake and Mount Katahdin.
The Penobscot Outdoor Center offers a hearty breakfast and/or dinner served in a casual atmosphere, by reservation only.

Katahdin Grill

• Breakfast will include eggs, meat, fries, cereal, juice, coffee/tea, milk.
• There will be four dinner options offered to include a choice of the following entrees: chicken, beef, pork, or pasta/vegetarian.
• Dinners include bread or rolls, entrée, a dessert, and a non-alcoholic beverage.
• Bag lunches can be pre-booked and will include a sandwich, fruit, sweet, and
• beverage.

Penobscot Outdoor Center - Cabin Tents Each Sleeps up to 2-4

Located in the campground, our cabin tents provide economical yet comfortable wilderness accommodations, without the usual hassles associated with camping.

• These large, bright, airy tents are suitable for 2 or 4 people
• Tents feature a wooden floor, screen door, propane lighting, and made up single beds with foam mattresses.
• A fire ring and picnic table are provided at each site.

Penobscot Outdoor Center - Campsites

Our campground offers a selection of well-kept, wooded sites all served by spacious, clean, modern restrooms and showers.
