Maine produces grapes, and blueberries and apples… and they are all used to make Maine wine. Bartlett Estate makes a fine Blueberry Wine. Blacksmiths’ make three sparkling fruit wines, grape wines and a Port-style wine made from plums, prunes, raisins and cherries. The Winterport Winery in Winterport, Maine makes wines using blueberries, pears, apples, strawberries, cranberries and raspberries. The Cellerdoor Winery in Lincolnville, Maine had its first harvest in 2000 and now offers more than a dozen wines including two blueberry wines: Blue Lobster Blue and Maiden’s Cliff Blueberry.  Visit a local Winery, we have listed some below.  Some offer tours, have tasting rooms, a sure bet for a wonderful afternoon.
